If you’re unsure of what class is the best fit, we encourage your child to try all classes for their level before enrolling. To discuss the appropriate level and set up a free trial class, click here to submit an interest form or contact us at 412-926-2002.

We look forward to hearing from you!

We offer classes for children 2 years old to 18 years old. Students are placed based on grade in school, if applicable. Children that are not yet in school are placed by age. Placing students like this ensures students are with their peers, are comfortable and can follow along in class, and they may even see a familiar face or two from school!

Visit our registration page to begin the enrollment process and select your class(es).

Classes begin the week of or after labor day and wrap up in early June with a professionally staged performance at a local venue. In addition, there are a variety of summer camps and sessions for dancers of all ages.

Absolutely not! Synergy welcomes students at any point throughout the season; however, if it is after January, due to circumstances outside of our control, we cannot guarantee that a costume will arrive in time for our showcase.  We’re always willing to try and accommodate as much as possible.

Synergy offers an end of the year showcase that will feature dances and skills they’ve learned in class. Generally, this showcase is held in the first few weeks of June. In addition, Synergy dancers are invited to perform in the Houston Pumpkin Festival parade, Canonsburg 4th of July parade, and other community events throughout the season. If performing is what your dancer loves, Synergy also offers competitive opportunities for dancers of all levels.

For musical theater students, a stage performance is held 1 – 2 times per year at a local venue. This production will include props, lights, costumes, music, and microphones on a real stage.

For piano and voice students, a recital is offered at the end of the season.

We will work with you to help your student adjust to the class as best we can.  Our teachers are well trained and would love to work on making a great experience for your students.

Absolutely! We have many students that are only enrolled in one style of class; however, there are several classes that require additional class enrollment for proper technique and skills. Those requirements are noted on the class option page.

Absolutely! We have many students that are only enrolled in our musical theater program or voice.

Absolutely! We aim to keep tuition simple so all group classes, including dance, musical theater, and group voice are included in the same tuition rate.

Billing and account questions can be directed to Mrs. Janet at the front desk the next time you are at the studio or you can email [email protected]. Please allow 72 hours for an email response.

Most of our studios are equipped with viewing windows to allow you to see what your child is learning and snap photos and/or videos. We do caution parents, especially those with younger and easily distracted dancers, to avoid standing by the windows during the entire class which could take their attention away from class and learning.

For our mini dancers (Under 7), classes are 30 minutes. For our Petite through Senior level dancers, classes range from 30 – 60 minutes.

We understand that enrollment in a performing arts program is a financial commitment. At Synergy, we are committed to providing as much information about additional fees such as costumes, showcase fees, or optional events or add-ons such as photos, yearbooks, and parties with as much advance notice as possible to allow you time to plan accordingly. While it would be impossible to provide a comprehensive list of required and optional fees here, if you would like additional information on estimated costs, our office manager, Ms. Janet, would be happy to give you a list of previous season fees to help with budgeting.

2022 Pricing

Academy classes are a standard rate of $32 per 30 minutes of class with a cap of $345 per month per dancer.

Absolutely! We have many fundraisers throughout the season with the profit added to your student account to use for Synergy related like costumes, monthly tuition, showcase fees, showcase recordings, and more. All fundraiser participation is optional for families.

Synergy offers a sibling discount of 10%.

We understand that things come up. If your child is ill, please keep them home to avoid spreading germs to other students. We also understand that life gets busy and sometimes other commitments conflict with dance. For any absence, please report all absences using the form on the home page.

Absolutely! We understand injuries happen, especially to dancers, and our teachers are prepared to provide alternative education opportunities for students who must sit out of the physical aspects of class for any reason. Depending on the nature of the injury and the age and abilities of the child, there are many options to continue class participation ranging from marking dances, limited movements and stretching, to helping teachers in the classroom with positive encouragement for their peers, and worksheets.

Hair should be pulled back neatly out of the face. For ballet, hair should be in a neat bun. We encourage students to bring extra hair ties and gel/hairspray in their bag if needed to keep their hair back.

Our students are often invited to perform throughout the season in the community at events like the Canonsburg 4th of July Parade, Houston Pumpkin Festival Parade, Trick or Treat at the Washington Crown Center, and the North Strabane Township Breakfast with Santa. Performance opportunities are not guaranteed and subject to change; however, we are actively performing in the community.
